While there is a group of people against Prophet David Owuor and has been criticising him, there is also another one which is behind the man of God and will do just about anything to defend him.
Embakasi East MP Babu Owino is without a doubt one of the people who have always stood by the prophet despite the preacher’s many controversies.
Babu recently proved his loyalty to the prophet after coming out to be prayed by him.
Exposeke.com understands the Embakasi East legislator on Sunday, March 24, joined the prophet’s followers at the Uhuru Park grounds for special prayers for the country organised by none other than Owuor and his church.
The prayer session was a big success as the prophet did not only pray for the country but also for leaders such as Owino and Nairobi Women Rep Esther Passaris who was also present.
The MP was pleased with the whole thing and thought it wise to share the proceedings with his social media followers.
”I joined other leaders in a unity prayer rally led by Prophet Owuor of the Ministry of Repentance and Holiness at Uhuru Park attended by close to one million Kenyans,” Babu wrote.
He also used the opportunity to assure all Christians that he will fight hard to see that no church is being taxed, as earlier proposed by some political leaders.
”This is why I was shocked when I heard some people suggesting the taxation of churches and vetting of religious leaders. What God has given, truly no man can take away. Not even Parliament, I wish to assure all worshipers that I will be on the front line in defending the faith and ensuring the political class respects freedom of worship. We will not allow the devil’s hand to find its way into our society through politicians,” he added.
Babu’s presence at the prayer meeting did not come as a surprise to many as he has always been an avid Prophet Owuor’s follower.
As reported by Bikenya.comearlier, the MP recently came to the man of God’s defense by urging Kenyans to stop dragging his name and that of his church into an estate row.
Speaking at the precincts of Parliament on Thursday, March 14, Babu strongly defended the televangelist against claims that he brainwashed a rich female church member and fraudulently took over her properties.
