KRA Paid Internship Opportunities

KRA January to December 2020 internship Intake

In support of the Government’s set Youth Initiative to form a pool of young talent for the Kenyan Labour Market, KRA is seeking more applications from fresh Bachelor’s Degree holders and Diploma graduates for its annual January to December 2020 Internship program.

Law degree holders pursuing the Advocates Training program (Pupils) at the Kenya School will be employed for six (6) months only.

The internship program aims at providing the Youth an opening for the on-the-job experience to build upon skills gained at school and enhance their employability and is open within the different Support Services departments of the Authority in the following fields:

  • Finance and Accounting,
  • Economics and Statistics,
  • Supply Chain Management,
  • Human Resource,
  • Library and Information Science,
  • Records Management,
  • ICT,
  • Hospitality,
  • Security/Criminology,
  • Project Management,
  • Chemistry/Analytical Chemistry,
  • Electrical Engineering.

Requirements for engagement as an Intern

  1. Must Be a Kenyan Citizen who is aged between 20 and 34 years
  2. Must have graduated with a First Degree (for undergraduate) or Diploma from a distinguished institution between January 2019 and December 2019
  3. Must be available full time for the twelve months duration of the program
  4. Should not have undertaken any other internship or exposed to work experience in their field of specialization after graduation

Please Note:

  1. The deadline for the KRA application is Wednesday, 27th November 2019.
  2. All applications must be presented online via the process given below.
  3. You can only apply for the job opportunity after successfully registering in the e-recruitment portal.
  4. Incomplete forms will not be considered.
  5. ONLY chosen candidates will be contacted.
  6. The Authority does not assure employment after completion of the Internship program.
  7. The Authority does not impose any fee for this process.
  8. Monthly Stipend payable is Ksh15,000 and is subject to legal deductions
  9. Once chosen candidates will be asked to submit proof of the following valid documents;
  • Personal Accident Insurance Cover,
  • Certificate of Good Conduct,
  • Copies of KRA PIN Certificate,
  • NHIF, NSSF, covers
  • ID card and
  • Bank Account Details.

Application Guidelines

Registration process:

  1. Go to https://erecruitment.kra.go.ke/login and then click on the ‘Register’ button to start the application process.
  2. Following registration, you will receive an email authorizing you to confirm your email address and complete your registration.

Log on:

  1. After registration go to this link https://erecruitment.kra.go.ke/login
  2. Enter in your username and password, then click on ‘Log in’ to access your account.
  3. After a successful login, the system will open the ‘Applicant Cockpit.’

Candidate Profile (To create or update applicant detail):

  1. On the ‘Applicant Cockpit’ page, move to the tab ‘Candidate Profile.’
  2. Click on ‘My Profile’ to create and update your profile.
  3. Follow the instructions to complete your profile.
  4. The process will end by clicking the tab ‘Overview and Release.’
  5. Ensure you click the checkbox on the page to complete the profile.

Application process:

  1. To view the open job postings, click on the tab ‘Employment Opportunities’ on the ‘Applicant Cockpit.’
  2. Under the title, ‘Job Search,’ click the ‘Start’ button to view all available internship vacancies.
  3. Click on the Job posting to display the details of the Internship position.
  4. To apply for the job, click the ‘Apply’ button at the top of the page.
  5. Follow the instructions to complete and submit your application.
  6. Kindly note that all compulsory fields must be completed.
  7. To complete the application process of application, click the ‘Send Application Now’ button after evaluating and accepting the ‘Data Privacy Statement.’
