Kenyan music industry is on a rise of being populated especially by the youth who seems to be interested in the field and competition is becoming more stiff.With that,artists find it hard to come at the top and have a decent earning.the Music publisher Association of Kenya came up with latest income distribution of the Kenyan musicians and here is the top 10 most paid and their most hitting songs in 2018.

The celebrated Kenyan gospel artist, Willy Paul emerged to be the highest earner earning Ksh.11, 685. ‘I do’ is a wedding song that was released in 2017 and it features a Jamaican female artist, Alaine. The beats are friendly, the alternating soul voices of Willy Paul and Alaine great, the flow awesome, and the high video quality just great. The great song went viral and currently it has more than 6 million views on YouTube. ‘I Do’ lyrics had a message that revolved around a newly wedded couple declaring their love for each other and making vows on their wedding day.
2. Nyashinski – Mungu Pekee
‘Mungu Pekee’ by Nyashinski was a come back song released 2 years ago, 2016. This song earned Nyashinski Ksh.11, 482. He made it open to Kenyans that he believes in God the father. It encourages believers to fight the devil and follow God’s teachings.

Nyashinski being in the list of the top earning musicians in Kenya does not come as a shocker. This is because he it talented and he truly deserves it. ‘Malaika’ is a beautiful passion song that was widely appreciated by fans worldwide. The song has been tuned in almost every street in Kenya and now it has earned Nyashinski Ksh.11,036. The lyrics were so simple making it to stick in most Kenyan’s tongues.
