Vocal political analyst Mutahi Ngunyi claimed the surprise nomination of the National Resistance Movement (NRM) self-proclaimed general Miguna Miguna to the Nairobi deputy governor position was meant to steal thunder from NASA leader Raila Odinga.
Mutahi, in a short video seen by exposeke.com on Sunday, May 20, noted President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto were using the fiery lawyer to wrestle Luo nation from Raila.
He argued the nomination was just but the beginning of what awaited Miguna upon his ‘heroic’ return from Canada.
“Miguna is not the project here, the project is Raila succession and Miguna is the lucky vehicle engineered to inherit Raila. Making him the deputy governor therefore is a stepping stone to creating the new leader of the Luo nation,” he observed.
According to Ngunyi, Miguna will capture opposition leader’s strongholds of Kibera and later Kondele slums once his nomination is approved by the Nairobi county assembly.
But he was quick to warn the embattled to stop using foul language against the NASA leader as this was hurting his chances of ascending to power once Raila exits the stage.
Nairobi governor Mike Sonko proposed controversial lawyer for the position of deputy governor.
In a letter dated Wednesday, May 16, addressed to Nairobi County Assembly Speaker Beatrice Elachi, Sonko noted the nominee would undergo vetting before assuming his position.
“The nominee meets all the requirements provided for in the constitution,” Sonko said in the letter.
The former Nairobi gubernatorial candidate flatly declined the offer but sources intimated to exposeke.com claim Miguna will most likely take up the position.
Already Miguna renewed efforts to be allowed entry into the country just days after his nomination. For Verified Information and News, look for EXPOSEKE.com, hit the bell button to subscribe for updates, to reach our support team, contact us here
